    • What do you know about Presidents’ Day?
    • Activate prior knowledge using Think, Sketch, and Talk. Ask your child/children to draw a quick sketch about Presidents’ Day, George Washington, George Washington’s teeth, Abraham Lincoln, The White House, or something else related to this topic.
  • – Memory Game (pg. 4)
    • Play memory as this is a fun and interactive way to introduce new vocabulary and concepts related to this theme. 
  • – Listen and Learn Wh- Questions (pgs. 5-7)
    • This is a listening comprehension and auditory memory activity that requires the child/student to listen, pay attention, and remember possible new information and details. 
  • – The Presidents’ Day Card Game (pgs. 8 – 12)
    • FUN card game that uses various wh-questions to review information learned about Presidents’ Day, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and the White House. 
  • – Think, Sketch, and Talk – do it again! (pg. 13)
    • Review time! Now that your child/children has learned about Presidents’ Day, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, the White House, etc. have him or her sketch another picture.
